Historical Blindness will interest any listener who is curious about the parts of history that remain a mystery or who wants to learn more about the historical myths and misconceptions that prop up false belief today. Host Nathaniel Lloyd attempts to shed light on historical blind spots, investigating puzzling tales from the past and examining hoaxes, conspiracy theories, and misremembered events that provide insight into modern politics and religion.

​Nathaniel Lloyd is a researcher, writer, and teacher. He teaches information literacy, research skills, critical thinking, and argumentative composition at the college level. His podcast, Historical Blindness, is, at its heart, an exercise in all of these skills, which are of supreme importance in the post-truth era. He has published a work of historical fiction about Mormonism, called Manuscript Found! In composing this novel, he discovered his great interest in exposing false and misrepresented history, leading to the creation of the Historical Blindness podcast. Nathaniel Lloyd researches, writes, performs, mixes, and engineers every episode of the podcast. He is its sole producer. He lives in California with his lovely and supporting wife and his precocious and beautiful daughter, and he continues to write fiction in his spare time.
