August 26, 2023 - Airwave is proud to announce that the Webby Award-winning podcast "The Box of Oddities" has joined the network.
Hosted by Kat and Jethro Gilligan Toth, "The Box of Oddities" delves into the strange and mysterious aspects of our world, exploring topics ranging from bizarre medical conditions to unsolved mysteries, and from paranormal phenomena to strange cultural practices from around the world. With a focus on oddities, curiosities, and the macabre, each episode is a journey into the unknown, where hosts Kat and Jethro Gilligan Toth share their love for unusual stories and inject their humor and commentary. From the strange history of medical practices to chilling true crime stories, to natural (and unnatural) events, "The Box of Oddities" satisfies your thirst for the weird and the unusual, offering an informative and entertaining look into the dark and mysterious corners of our world.
As part of the deal, the creative team behind "The Box of Oddities" will also bring their podcast "The Shallow End" to Airwave, and they will launch an original film history podcast "From Beneath the Hollywood Sign" with the network on September 16, 2023.
"The Shallow End" is hosted by Lindsay Schnebly and Jethro Gilligan Toth, childhood friends who have always shared a love for stories of people doing ridiculously dumb things. "The Shallow End is your invitation to pour a strong drink and join them for true stories of epic fails and the tragically hilarious.
"From Beneath the Hollywood Sign" is a weekly podcast from Emmy-winning writer and producer STEVE CUBINE and actress NAN MCNAMARA. They explore, discuss, and dissect the magical, mysterious, amusing, and sometime bizarre tales of Old Hollywood. So sit back and revisit a time when the pictures were still big and everyone was ready for their close-up.
